Bursaries for film festivals

This is the first time that AFRISOS has provided this kind of opportunity. We believe that an important part of succeeding in the filmmaking industry is having access to spaces where creatives gather, interact with each other, build networks, learn from each other, collaborate, get exposure, and showcase their work, dreams, and future projects. If you are not yet in the industry or your network is not that big, attending film festivals, especially those focused on the topics you are interested in, is a great opportunity to have access to all of these things.

That's why AFRISOS granted 10 bursaries to Tanzanian filmmakers and storytellers to attend the Wildscreen Nairobi Global Hub Nairobi 2022, which took place on October 21st. All expenses were paid.

Most of the bursary recipients were previously involved with AFRISOS as volunteers, interns, or mentees. This was an opportunity to help them continue growing in other ways while they are involved with AFRISOS.
